Apolloeye's sightless eyes fell to his paws and he put his nose in the dust. His ears drooped and his tail fell to his side. Yeah...sorry. It was a stupid thing to say, He meowed, standing up. He let his tail drag uselessly in the dust as he padded back through the thorny bushes and headed back to the EnergyClan camp, not particularily caring if Flare followed him or not.

Flare watched Apolloeye walked away, her chest feeling hollow. Averting her eyes, she stared at the ground, afraid to move. Her stomach began to ache again, but this time it wasn't the sharp stabbing pains of a pulled muscle, it was something else. Thinking quick, she hopped up and followed him, her eyes gleaming.
"Told ya you liked me" She teased, hoping it would pull him out of his mood.

Apolloeye sighed and kept walking, to sad to feel much like talking. I know I do, you don't need to tell me, He muttered, his tail creating a small dusty cloud as he walked. He let his ears lay flat against his head in disappointment.

Flare frowned, pressing her ears against her head, and she rushed to jump in front of Apolloeye. "Okay, listen. I'm only going to say this once: I like you too, but I can't join Energyclan. See... Remember how I said you can't tell Kodiak I'm his sister? Well, there's a reason. He killed my other sister Ariona, and my other brother Pulse." Flare hissed in exasperation. "I wasn't suppsed to come here. Me and Granite... Followed Niche"

You don't have to tell him you're related! Apolloeye said, tears streaming from his sightless eyes. Apolloeye dropped himself to the ground sobbing uncontrolably. He curled his tail tightly around his body and ducked his head so it was hidden between his paws.

Flare's eyes blazed with impatience. "Then how can I explain the fact that I have our mother's scent." Her voice was a hiss now, trying to make him understand. "Apolloeye, listen! You either make Kodiak leave, or I am." Flare suggested, but her anger made the words come out wrong.
[Now Kodiak becomes an evil blood thirsty loner!!!!!]

Fine! I'll get rid of Kodiak, Apolloeye meowed, ignoring the tone in Flare's voice. He stalked towards camp, lead purely by scent, sound, and memory.

Flare sat down, angry, but hurt. Her mouth was open slightly, her eyes filled with purity and confusion. "I don't understand you." Flare mewed. Her paws were spread slightly, a defensive stance. "You say you want me to come with you, but you're leaving me behind. I'm naive, confused, and I don't know what to do. This is all new to me, and I don't understand any of it. How you would willingly get rid of a warrior confuses me, why you sudenly liek me confuses me, and the fact that you say you do, yet you walk away from me. If there's something you want to tell me, fess up." Flare growled.

Apolloeye turned and padded back to Flare, barely able to keep himself from sprinting to her side. He stopped when their noses touched. I love you, He muttered, hoping she wouldn't blow up at him again. He felt Flare's breath flowing over his face, soothing him. Why do I feel this way? I've never cared so much about another cat, ever... He thought, a troubled expression making it's way onto his face.

Flare ducked her head, embaressment flooding over her. She never was one with emotions. Hanging her head low, she stared at the dirt. "Uh, you too." She mewed awkwardly. Flare hoped Apolloeye would udnerstand how much she hated showing her feelings. She looked up at him, and hoped her eyes would show her true feelings, even when she couldn't speak them.

Apolloeye sat down, licking Flare between the ears. He curled his tail around his paws tightly, not sure what to say or do next. The wind blew leaves down from the trees, brushing against Apolloeye's pelt. He swiveled his ears, making sure no other cat was nearby. He didn't want any more cats to overhear their conversation.

Flare made patterns in the dirt with her paw, unsure of anything, confused and filled with so many new emotions, she wondered how her pelt contained them all. "Apolloeye, what should I do?" She mewed, lost in thought.

You should listen to your heart. I listened to mine, it told me I loved you, He meowed, nuzzling her nose gently. Leaves spun and swirled around them, brushing against Apolloeye's pelt, making a slight swooshing noise.

Flare rested her head on Apolloeye's shoulder. "You know, in al my life, I never thought I'd feel the way for anyone as I feel for you" She whispered. The murky green olive of the clearing seemed to stretch out in a labyrinth throughout the area. The winds blew through the trees, and revealed a lighter jade.

I never thought I could feel this way...ever. When I was little my heart was broken by my mother, she said she hated me. From then on, I closed my heart off from the world, but you have opened it again, Apolloeye meowed, grooming Flare's small head. He curled his tail around her, loving the feel of her warm breath on his chest. The wind whistled and howled, but he didn't care. He was with Flare.
