Sunkit looked to her friends one last time. Then she turned and walked torwards camp. She shouldn't have been out here. But it was worth the trouble she would get in when she arrived.
"Be careful." she whispered. She didn't really know who she was talking to. She started the walk back to camp, her spirits low.

Sunkit looked at Lynxkit. "What are you talking about? Who died?" she asked him. She hated seeing him in this state. Her eyes where wide as she waited for a reply. Hopeflly, no one improtant was dead.

"Phoenixstar is dead!" He yowled. He layed down. He was really sad. "She was supposed to make me and my sister's apprentences!" he continued to cry.
Lightningkit had followed him. She watched from a bush.

Sunkit's eyes widened. "I am soon to be an apprentice. Why won't you become apprentices anyway?" she asked. She sat down next to him and started to groom his ears for comfort. He would tell her something, sooner or later.

"Phoenixstar is dead!" He yowled mournfully. "She died by falling in the river and wvor the waterfall! she's gone!" Lynxkit cried pittifully, he missed her.

This time Sunkits's eyes grew large. "How did she fall in the river? She knows all..." she stopped. Those stories had been made to keep kits away from the water. Horror stories. But still. Even the oddest stories had some truth in it. She continued to lick Lynxkit's ears. She was glad he was here. But she did not like the circumstances her had come under.

Lightningkit made her appearance. "She fell into the river trying to save Silverkit. The current became too strong for her. She was swept away," She mewed.
Lynxkit asked, "How do you know what happened? You weren't there!"
"I heard from Rose, right before you left," Lightningkit mewed. "Now come on! We have to get back before they find out that we are gone! Besides I don't think Phoenixstar would like it if you joined AirClan! Please brother!"
"Alright I'll go. I will see you soon Sunkit," Lynxkit mewed.

Sunkit nodded. "I have to get back anyways. She licked him one last time, then turned and headed torwards camp. She paused and looked back, then continued on her way. maybe one of the other kits would play with her. With that thought, she bounded torwards camp.
