The decision{Deputy ceremony}

As Burngingstar made her way from the den beneath the great black rock, she felt regret deep within her stomach. Regret that one of the warriors might be deeply hurt by her decision, but it had to be done. Stalking up the smooth rock, feeling the warmth under her feet, she felt out a brief sigh and ruffled her fur satisfyingly. One day, the cat she chose would stand upon the same place, making the same decision. A deputy. Swelling up inside, she imagined the surprise and satisfaction on the chosen cats face. " May all cats old enough to catch prey gather here in Air valley for a clan meeting!" Her calico pelt dappled in the soothing sunlight rays, and once more her blue and amber gaze sunk down to the clearing, where warriors and apprentices, elders and queens too, were gathering. It was time.

The large build of a silver cat came from the shadows of the Warrior's den. He sat down, in Air Valley, and curled his tail around his paws.

[Enlightenment]

Sunkit came out of the den. She saw the other cats, and got into her own little corner to watch the precesion. hmmmm...deputy. well, I have to be an aprentice first, so that woul dbe stupid of me to want to be the deputy. But still, it might be cool. She shook her head, then began to groom her paw. Soon she would know who was going to be the deputy of AirClan. She might as well wait until then.

Burngingstar straightened up. Before she chose the deputy, there was one thing to do. " Sunkit, you have been an kit for a while, and this is you chance to get out of the nursery." She paused to scan the clearing. " Sunkit, you will now be known as Sunpaw, until you receive your warrior name and move to the warrior den, and I will be your mentor." She took a graceful leap from the top of the great boulder to land in front of it, dipping her calico head to touch noses with her new apprentice. Most kits dreamed of having their leader as their mentor, and she could only hope that this one did also.

[Enlightenment]

Sunkit's eyes lit up. She gave her mentor/leader a respectful lick on the shoulder. Her body filled with happines and elation. She was to have her leader as a mentor! But first, before they could train, they needed to pick a deputy. She striaghtended up with importance as she waited for the deputy to be chosen.
