Deathjaw had left the den that moring and had come out here to see if he could find anything to eat. He had allready taken down a hawk the size of a badger with no trouble at all. He was starving so he had eaten a small thin mouse to help him hunt for more then the hawk. He went to sniff around and found a bird's egg that had fallen down. He it broke up in his strong jaws he ate the shell and all. He had allready found a large hawk egg and put it with the hawk.

You do know that the Warrior Code states that you must feed your clan before feeding yourself, don't you, Deathjaw? ArtemisStar said, coming up behind Deathjaw. The thick pine needles felt soft underpaw, and their aroma was wonderful. She hadn't been out of camp for a while, she was relieved to be away from all the chaos. It was quiet and peaceful out in the forest, the sound of tiny mice scampering across the forest floor was quite calming.

Deathjaw flicked his tail towards the large hawk and egg. "I caught a hawk and i got a hawk egg." he barked.

We cannot eat the egg. The shell would choke any cat. Put it back into the nest. And you need to bury your prey. Some other animal will come and find it before you can bring it back to camp, ArtemisStar snapped. She hardly ever snapped at her clanmates, but she was under a lot of stress. I think we should begin training. Now, do you know how to hunt a mouse or a rabbit? She asked Deathjaw, her silver eyes sparkling in the sunlight.

The fox went back to the hawk and dug a hole to put it in. He padded back to her the dew on his muzzle a sign that he had been out allmost the whole night. "I know how to catch mice, but not the same way you cats do." he barked.

ArtemisStar watched Deathjaw. Well, I'm teaching you how to hunt like a cat, She meowed, scenting the air. She didn't pick up any mouse scents, so she closed her mouth.

//No.//
A cat would not be able to eat the hawks you've caught, so why don't we concentrate on catching smaller prey? Show me how you catch a mouse, ArtemisStar meowed, padding over to Deathjaw. She sat down and waited, watching Deathjaw patiently.

Deathjaw looked at his paws he went half way down to the ground. One of his paws in front of him the other front paw a little ways behind it. One of his back paws was the same as his front paw and so was his other back leg. His tail was off the ground, but not up in the air and his head was also half way down to the ground.

There's a mouse in those bushes, ArtemisStar meowed. Catch it. She waited for Deathjaw to move, waiting patiently with her tail curled 'round her paws. The wind whistled through the trees, making a slight swooshing noise.

He knew that Artemisstar would look at him weird after this. He could hear the mouse he jumped up high in the air jumping right on top or the mouse and killing it by biting its neck. He turned around to face her. "A little different then they way you hunt right?" he asked.

A bit. It's nearly the same though. I don't think you could hunt exactally the way we hunt though, your claws would make to much noise, ArtemisStar meowed, deciding to let Deathjaw hunt the way he had taught himself to. We should start with some defence training, Deathjaw. You should learn to fight the way we do. We should hurry and get the fighting training done, before you get to big for me to be able to teach you stuff, ArtemisStar meowed, standing up.

Deathjaw nodded to her. "I know how to fight, but it dose not hurt to learn a new way to fight." his nervous starting to fade.

Alright, let's start with something simple. Try to knock me over, ArtemisStar said, bracing herself. She placed all her weight on her toes, ready to spring out of the way when Deathjaw attacked. Be careful with your claws and teeth, please. I don't want to get hurt, she said, watching Deathjaw carefully.

Deathjaw nodded he thought of the best way to thrown her off. He ran at her, but would jump aside to go down a dip and come back on the other side to ram her.
